The driver of a burning waste truck managed to move it to the nearest Civil Defense squad in Al-Jamoum.
The driver noticed flames and fumes coming out of the waste compression unit of the truck so he headed for the nearest Civil Defense site in the governorate, asking for help.
Civil Defense officers managed to extinguish the fire quickly. Al-Jamoum Civil Defense Director Brig. Omar Al-Majnooni commended the truck driver for his prompt action and presence of mind.
