JEDDAH: Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, second deputy premier and minister of defense, paid a visit to the US Navy's aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt, which is currently deployed in the Arabian Gulf, the SPA reported.
During the visit, he was briefed on armament capabilities of the carrier and its attack, defensive and anti-submarine tasks as well as on the deployment of fighter jets and early warning aircraft.
He was also briefed by the carrier's commander, Rear Adm. Andrew Lewis, on its administrative organizational structure, operating systems, radar technology and remote sensing instruments.
The deputy crown prince was also briefed about Theodore Roosevelt's daily combat operation management. During the tour, he was accompanied by a number of officials.
