RIYADH: A school teacher will receive the King Abdulaziz Medal-First Class and a cash reward of SR1 million for saving the lives of teachers trapped in a burning car.
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has approved the award to Abdulaziz Salem Fayez Al-Harbi for his heroics about four months ago when the car of the teachers burst into flames after colliding with another vehicle.
Al-Harbi was returning home after school when he spotted the accident in Aqalat Al-Suqoor, near Buraidah in Al-Qassim. He sprung into action to save the teachers. Unfortunately both drivers died.
