This is with reference to the report, “Modi invites King Salman to visit India” (April 5). It was heartening to read Saudi Arabia and India will make joint efforts to fight the menace of terrorism. The Indian prime minister’s recent visit to the Kingdom has indeed taken the relationship between the two countries to a new high.
To annihilate the network of terrorism, it is very important to block their sources of funding, and Saudi Arabia and India have drawn up the right strategy to tackle this problem. The world should also follow this strategy so that terrorists’ networks are crippled.
For a country’s security and stability, it is very important that it should work to bolster the cyber security so that fascists and extremists do not succeed in destabilizing national security. It is very appreciative that Saudi Arabia and India intend to make joint efforts to also enhance cyber security.
In addition to this, for the progress of any country tolerance and peaceful attitude should be promoted among people. Scholars and industrialists from Saudi Arabia and India should pay frequent visits to each other’s countries so that harmony among people is promoted. There is no doubt that the Indian premier is a charismatic leader and that he is sincere in his efforts to give impetus to the country’s progress.
