ALJ CPD, Al Saad Construction, Al Khorayef place third in JBL event

ALJ CPD of Noel Servida Sun beat Jeddah Eagles 69-63 to claim third place in the 5’8’ and below division here in the JBL Invitational Basketball Tournament at Bin Mafouz court on Tahlia St. at Al Andalus District here.
ALJ CPD applied man-to-man defense in the final quarter to halt the Jeddah Eagles offensive plays.
Playing Coach Reynold Borcigue used his wide body to dominate the shaded area and scored a personal-best of 20 points for ALJ CPD and was adjudged as the Giordano Best Player of the game while Tarek top-scored with 15 points for Jeddah Eagles.

Petro Rabigh defeated Nesma 76-68 to advance to the best-of-three championship series in the 5’8” and below category. Petro Rabigh’s running game was unstoppable in the whole game.
Nesma tried to play its inside game but missed important jumper in the final quarter. Noblejas had 19 points for Petro Rabigh and was adjudged as the Arab News Best Player of the game while TJ top-scored with 28 points for Nesma.
Maya beat Diet Center 71-60. Maya International dominated the offense department up to third quarter. Diet Center regrouped its offense in the fourth quarter but lost grip in the crucial 2 minutes of the game. Lito Soriano scored 20 points for Maya and was adjudged as the Saudi Sign Best Player of the game while Rudolf Arabia led Diet Center with 23 points.
In Friday’s games, Al Khorayef of Allan Macalinao defeated STC Terabytes 112-67 in the match for third place in the Inter-Company Strong Division.
Al Khorayef played well in the whole game as STC Terabytes with only 7 players that dressed for th match tried hard to match up against the enemy.
Small but terrible Zambale scored 24 points for Al Khorayef and was adjudged as the JBL Best Player of the game while Sonny Sorreta had 10 points for STC Terabytes.
Al Saad Construction beat Nissan Alhamrani 72-63 to clinch third place in the Inter-company Weak Division.
Al Saad slowly but surely gain control up to the final quarter as Nissan missed so many easy shots. Viozenerl Padilla led Al Saad with 26 points and was adjudged as the Arab News Best Player of the game while Estrella had 22 points for Nissan Alhamrani.
Toyota Genuine Parts of coach Ismael Perey defeated Smat Jeddamonz 70-56 to advance to the championship series in the Inter-company Strong category.
Both teams played good offense up to third quarter. At the start of the fourth quarter, Toyota Genuine Parts applied zone defense to defuse the offensive plays of Smat Jeddamonz and also dominated the rebounding department.
Paul Gerald Taguba attacked the basket and scored 20 points for Toyota Genuine Parts and was adjudged as the Al Haddaf Best Player of the game while Rebulado top-scored with 10 points for Smat Jeddamonz.
