Two women who were arrested for allegedly participating in an illegal gathering in Buraidah were ordered released, but they have refused to leave detention.
Qassim police said they arrested 161 men and 15 women during an unlicensed gathering on March 1.
Spokesman for Qassim Police, Col. Fahad Al-Habdan, said a court order had been issued to release all of the women. All detainees with the exception of the two women who refuse to leave have been released.
According to sources, the two women’s families are being asked to assist in convincing the women to obey the court order.
