A group of 150 intellectuals, poets, artists and sportsmen joined the "Friends of Jeddah Corniche" movement which aims to protect the environment from pollution.
The activity came as part of the ongoing environment festival entitled "I love you Jeddah 3". The festival is organized by the Saudi Environment Society in conjunction with the Jeddah Municipality.
The festival was attended by more than 1,000 students and would continue its programs every Thursday for the next three months.
The organizers want from this festival to deliver an environmental message to 1 million people in Jeddah. They are particularly targeting visitors to the newly developed seafront in northern corniche.
