ANB hosts advanced training program for credit risk management

In partnership with 7City Learning, a leading financial services learning provider and ICMA (International Capital Markets Association) Centre, part of Henley Business School, Arab National Bank (ANB) held a comprehensive Credit Risk Analysis Diploma for a number of its select employees from corporate banking, commercial banking, risk management and credit review departments.
The program was designed in collaboration between ANB's HR manpower development department, senior business managers, 7city's faculty, and accredited by ICMA to ensure it adheres to “best practice” standards in credit risk.
The program reflected ANB's strategic business focus, covering credit risk, valuation, corporate finance, modeling and portfolio risk management.
In the final module, the participants presented a team based research project to a panel of ANB senior executives and 7city faculty who critiqued each solution to provide their feedback on the quality and content.
Obaid Alrasheed, deputy CEO - private and retail banking, said: “This course is part of our strategic approach to develop the skills of our employees and provide competitive services that exceed the expectations of our customers. The bank has partnered with the very best training institutions to invest more in the development of our employees in order to improve the bank's competitiveness in a number of areas.”
The program which ran over 7 weeks, including 4 weeks intensive classroom training and on the job project work, concluded with the awarding of a prestigious certificate to each participant from ICMA Centre, Henley Business School.
