JEDDAH, 13 November — Sofitel Alhamra Hotel inaugurated its new La Veranda restaurant recently. French Consul General Alain Azouaou and Sofitel’s new General Manager Robert Tissot cut a cake to mark the opening of the restaurant, which was attended by about 400 invitees including members of the consular corps, and chief executive officers and senior management executives of business establishments. Tissot said the new Mediterranean restaurant presented authentic cuisine from different Mediterranean countries. "It’s quite appealing with its aesthetic structural designs and is ideally located around the swimming pool area with its pergolas designed in a Mediterranean style," he added. Diners said the array of food offered at the restaurant were truly Mediterranean and satisfied their senses. "The essence of the Mediterranean was felt in the heart of Jeddah on that night," one of them remarked. Director of sales & Marketing Inayat Ramjean gave an overview of the renovation plan undertaken by the hotel and said: "All our guest and meeting rooms have been completely renovated. We’ve decorated and designed our new entrance and upgraded our lobby and swimming pool area," Ramjean added. Neman Abdallah, hotel’s new food and beverage manager, announced a special promotional offer for the first 15 days of Ramadan.
