JEDDAH, 23 November — In Division One of Kanoo League, Nadir Toor, Kanoo Travel, Deccen Blues, UNASCO, Juffali Benz and Ace Travel emerged victorious over Attar Travel, Olympic Airways, Patel XI, UMA, Al-Rabea Express and Dabbagh respectively.
Nadir Toor had a fine victory over Attar Travel by 5 wickets. Batting first, Attar Travel scored 136 for 8, Gufran (52) and Shoiab (25) were the main scorers. Nadir Toor’s Ezaz Toor, Hashim and Akram shared two wickets each for 34, 24, and 19 runs respectively. In reply, Nadir Toor reeled off for the loss of 5 wickets with Ghayyur (50 - 3 fours and a six) and Irfan (25). Zafar from Attar took 2 for 22.
Kanoo Travel gained an easy win against Olympic Airways. Taking the first strike, Kanoo Travel piled up 195 for 3. Rabie hit 7 fours and 2 sixes in his unbeaten 73 runs in association with Rashid (59 - 8 fours and 2 sixes), Majid (38) and Suhail Butt (27). Shamim from Olympic Airways took 2 for 47. In reply, Olympic Airways could manage 103 all out, mainly due to Suhail Butt’s accurate bowling who captured 4 for 12 while Aleem and Shoaib took 2 wickets for 14 and 22 runs respectively.
Deccan Blues proved their superiority beating Patel XI by 65 runs. Deccan Blues offered a target of 183 runs. Aziz (58 - 5 fours), Marouf 54 n.o. (2 fours and a six) and Quddus (25) were the main scorers. Responding the difficult task, Patel XI restricted on 117, in which, Ismial (21) and Mushtaq (20) were top scorers. Badar from Deccan Blues chipped in 4 for 7 while Yunus took 2 for 28.
In a low-scoring match, UNASCO beat UMA by 7 wickets and 5 overs to spare. UMA seeking combination managed to score 92 runs in their 18 overs match. Tanvir from UNASCO took 3 for 18. In reply, UNASCO reached the tally in 13 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Altaf (45) was the main batsman.
Juffali defeated Rabea Express by 2 wickets. Rabea Express scored 152 for 7 in 18 overs, in which Abdullah (50 - 2 fours and a six) and Rizwan (41) were the main scorers. Naeem from Juffali took 3 for 29. In reply, Juffali scored the required runs for the loss of 8 wickets, in which, Hamid Butt (21), Imran (28), Zahid (22) were the main contributors. Mohammad of Rabea Express grabbed 3 for 31.
Ace Travel chased a reasonable target of 154 offered by Dabbagh. Initially, Dabbagh lost 4 wickets cheaply, due to which the incoming batsmen were under pressure. Finally, Dabbagh managed to earn 152 runs for 9 in 18 overs. In reply, Ace Travel made the required runs for the loss 5 wickets.
