ALKHOBAR, 23 November — In the EPCA League sponsored by Khalifa Al-Gosaibi Group, Khalifa Al-Gosaibi crushed Al-Hoda by 5 wickets. Al-Hoda batted first and scored 230 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Sajjad batted well and scored 85 runs, Anil 29 runs, Suresh 30 and Grish scored 25 runs. Eijaz bowled well and took 3 wickets and parwez took 2 wickets. In reply, Khalifa Al-Gosaibi reached the target in the 34th over. Thanks to Akbar Hussain who batted very well and scored a magnificent century 105 runs including 10 boundaries. His opening partner Ameen also batted well scored 60 runs and put on 154 runs for the first wicket and laid the winning foundation. Hidayat scored a breezy 20 and led his team to victory target. Suresh bowled well and took 3 wickets while Siddiqi claimed 2 wickets.

In another match, Saudi Valves Manufacturing beat Hyderabad Blues by 98 runs. Saudi Valves batted first and scored 279 runs. Mohammed Ayub scored a fine century with the help of 3 boundaries. Syed Amin also batted well and scored 63 runs, David scored 30 useful runs and Ashraf contributed 29 runs. Naveed bowled well and took 3 wickets and Suresh took 2 wickets for 35 runs. In reply, Hyderabad Blues were all out for 181 runs. Taj batted well and scored 65 runs and Javed contributed 42 runs. Ashraf bowled well and took 4 wickets for 33 runs and Mohammed Faisal claimed 3 wickets for 35 runs.

In another match, Globe Marine beat Saudi Ready Mix by one wicket. Saudi Ready Mix batted first and scored 190 runs before they were all out. Zia scored 42 runs, Rizayat scored 27 runs and Asif 28 runs. Hani bowled well and took 3 wickets. Wahid and Ansar shared two wickets each. Globe Marine reached the target in the 38th over. Irfan batted well and scored valuable 75 runs and took his team to victory and Mudassar contributed 21 runs. Kinai, Rana and Imran bowled well and claimed 2 wickets each.

In another match, Saudi Pan Gulf beat Kanoo by 4 wickets. Kanoo batted first and scored 326 runs. Munawwar and Iqbal Bali scored fine centuries and Zulfiqar Goga contributed 30 runs. Nasir and Junaid bowled well and took 2 wickets each. SPG reached the target in the last over.Thanks to Sadar Khan and Amjad who played an anchor role and put on 118 runs partnership for the 5th wicket. Amjad got out after scoring valuable 91 runs but Sadar played gem of an innings scored magnificent unbeaten 93 runs which included 8 hits to the fence and a six. Inam Khan also batted well laid the solid foundation and scored 72 runs. Abid bowled well and claimed 3 wickets.

In another match, Al-Ghamdi beat archrival AGE by 84 runs. Al-Ghamdi batted first and scored 283 runs Sadaqat and Rehan scored fine half centuries. Shahjahan and Safdar scored 26 runs and Aftab and Sajjad contributed useful 25 runs each. Nadeem Waqas and Imran bowled well and took 3 wickets each. In reply AGE were all out for 199 runs Sikandar 33 runs was the top scorer. Waheed 31, Rizwan 29 Irfan 27 and Mudassar scored 24 runs. Sadaqat and Sajjad bowled well and took 2 wickets each.

In another match, Youngsters beat Rainbow by 7 wickets. Rainbow batted well and scored 244 runs for 7. Akram and Tariq batted well and scored fine half centuries. Qayyum took 3 wickets and Shahnawaz claimed 2 wickets. Youngsters reached the target in the 34th over. Thanks to Shahnawaz who scored a fine unbeaten century 146 runs and took his team to a great victory. Waseem scored 34 runs and Mohsin contributed 27 runs. Raza bowled well and took 2 wickets.
