JEDDAH, 23 November — King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center; (KFSH&RC) lifted the coveted trophy by beating Dr. Erfan & Bagedo Hospital by 3-1 in the just concluded 2nd Invitational Inter-Cooperative Women’s Volleyball Tournament sponsored by the Philippine Consulate General thru POLO-OWWA.
Dr. Erfan ladies won the opening set with 14-15 margin but later KFSH&RC gathered their momentum and prevailed over Dr. Erfan in the remaining game.
They did not allow any space for Dr. Efran ladies to stand upon and won the remaining sets with 15-12, 15-3 and 15-13 margin.

The Philippine Consulate General through POLO-OWWA Welfare Officer Mustapha Glang, the sponsor of this tournament has provided trophies, medals and other awards for this year’s tournament. For its support, Singapore Airline has donated a round-trip ticket (Jeddah/Manila/Jeddah) for the champion team KFSH&RC through the courtesy of Robert Rosario; while SkyFreight Forwarders courtesy of General Manager Emy de Guzman has donated a 500 kgs worth of sea cargo to the 1st runners-up Dr. Erfan & Bagedo Hospital; Cesar Lontok has donated CAP Net insurance and Awit Abroad CD’s donated by Rolly Amaranto (composer) for the Mythical six awardees, Al Safi Fruit Juice and CITB has given refreshment and gift items to the spectators.
