RIYADH, 30 November — Unheralded Edd Dalisay and the Bicol Express (Besa) sparkled to clinch the Bowler of the Week and the team of the week awards, respectively on the 5th week of the SkyFreight Forwarders/OFWBR “Pabongahan” sa Inter-Province Bowling League being held at the Riyadh Inter-Continental Hotel Bowling Center.

Dalisay, a Class C bowler and one of the consistent players of the Luzvimin Pin Busters team mentored by Hanibal Geronimo emerged as the bowler of the week holder when he tallied a four game series of 818. With a handicap of 20 points per game, Dalisay rolled 160, 197, 208 and 173, a convincing points to romp-away the coveted title.

The Bicol Express and the Pangasinan Strikers, likewise shared bowling limelight with Dalisay by posting a remarkable wins over their rivals. The Bicol Express spearheaded by Rizal Dellosa snatched 18 points to humble the Pampanga Dragons piloted by Roger Bautista who got 9 points.

The defending champion, the Pangasinan Strikers collected a towering 22 big points over the Calabarzon to captue their fourth team of the week awards.

Rollie Cleofe, Fred Nicdao and Ferdie Ramos engineered the Bicol Express team to record an impressive victory over the Pampanga Dragons. Cleofe, Nicdao and Ramos exploded a separate four-game series handicap of 785, 726 and 716, respectively. Ferdie Ramos and Rizal Dellosa contributed a series of 374 and 369 in two games.

Topscoring in the Pampanga Dragons is the tandem of Rey Lansang and Saud Egil who toppled a separate four game series of 758 and 728. Rene Dimapilis scored 519 pinfalls in three sets while southpaw Frank Ranera rolled a series of 492 in three games. Roger Bautista and Boy Catu downed a series of 366 and 333 in two matches.

Pangasinan stalwarts Phol Grepo and Yuli Braganza led by posting a series of 780 and 744 in four outings while Pep Maghinay added a series of 694. Pat Raz and Jojo Demetrio submitted a series of 505 in three games. Pangasinanís outstanding victory over the Calabarzon widened their lead and remained the undisputed holder of the numero uno spot.

The Calabarzon team, playing with a blind player registered total team output of 3195 and saw Bobby Dajulan topscoring with a series of 799 in four games. Joel Alegre and Ely Baraquiel together with Jun Arenas garnered a separate series of 655, 646 and 575.

The MLICB ABB Mixed Stars haulted the Luzvmin Pin Busters (18-9). The heroics of Gerry Signey powered the ABB Mixed Stars by carding a remarkable four game series of 801. The energetic Jun Bago excelled by pumping-in a series of 751 in four games. Louie Abundo dazzled to pour a series of 720 in four outings. Ramon Perez and Larry Baleros rolled 546 and 505 points in three matches. Mon Teodoro scored 181 in one game.

At the forefront in the Luzvimni Pin Busters team was the bowler of the week awardee, Edd Dalisay with a series of 818. Nestor Tercio burned the lanes to post a series of 773. Bher del Rosario had 632 series in four games while Malco Muyco and Mel delos Santos snatched a series of 346 and 344, respectively.

The Vision 2 of Alex Bandoy demolished the Metro Five Stars of Bashal Khalaj (14-7) and leading scorers in the Vision 2 quintet are Emil Rances (743) and Alex Bandoy (726) Mario Samson shot 360 points. Romy Aldama tallied 354 points in two games while Arman Caraig and Rene Enriquez scored 346 and 304.

The fastrising Glenn Espiritu and Nolie Medrano together with Freddie Aquino were at helm in the Metro Five Stars. Espiritu carded 741, Medrano toppled 735 and Aquino sealed 714. Khaled Seftawi fired a series of 580.

The Laguna Strikers posted a triumpant victory over the powerhouse, Opnel team (16-6). The petite Dante “cheeney” Prado pulverized the Opnel team by carding a four game series of 764 in four games. Providing splendid support to Prado came through the good games of Joe Concepcion (673) and Ramon Nilo (604). Marvin Arocena and Romy Matic sizzled to contribute a series of 372 and 348 in two games. Boy Galang downed 201 in one game.

The Opnel team, still recuperating from their big lost in the Wednesday league through the hands of the Laguna, players who scored well are Larry Mondoy (722) and Arnel Crizaldo (716). Atoy Malubay and Jun Malana pocketed a series of 529 and 515. Reden Tulabut and Jimmy Medina scored a series of 366 and 339.
