JEDDAH, 30 November — In Division One of Kanoo League, Kanoo, Dabbagh and Red Sea Paints had one-sided wins against Attar Travel, SGB Green and United Motors respectively, while Shalimar claimed a facile victory over Olympic Airways. Adamjee and Zuhair Zehran bundle out Patel XI and Al-Rabea Express.

In a match between Kanoo and Attar Travel played at Kanoo Ground, Nadim Amin’s unbeaten century helped Kanoo to secure an one-sided win over Attar Travel. Kanoo also recorded the highest total of 247 so far in the league. Wasif and Mohammed Tayyeb opened the innings of Kanoo and when Tayyeb (36) was bowled by Dilawar, Nadim Amin joined Wasif. Both the batsmen displayed a confident batting performance. Nadim hit 14 boundaries and 6 sixes in his unbeaten 132 runs while Wasif scored 61 runs including 3 fours and a six. In response to the up hill task, Attar Travel restricted on 107 with Salman (45). Azam Khan claimed 2 for 9. Finally, Kanoo won the match by 140 runs.

Dabbagh had an effortless 67 runs victory over SGB Green. Without hesitation, Dabbagh decided to bat first and piled up 219 for 5 in 20 overs. Zafar and Aslam opened for Dabbagh and put 43 runs partnership. When both the openers returned back to the pavilion, Dabbagh lost another wicket cheaply. But Shehzad displayed a captain innings scored 85 runs including 4 sixes and 4 boundaries. Zafar (27), Ijaz (26) and Imran (24) supported Shehzad in accumulating the total. In rely, SGB managed 152 for 6, in which, Waheed (64 - 3 fours), Nasir (30) and Sohail (18) were the main batsmen.

Red Sea Paints ensured 62 runs win against United Motors (UMA). Red Sea put a difficult target of 219 runs in 18 overs. An opening partnership of 144 runs was scored by Shabbir (87 - 6 fours and 2 sixes), equally good knock by Shakeel (64 - 9 fours). Later Kauser and Saleem added 25 and 22 runs respectively. In reply UMA could reach 156 for 7. Arif (28), Zahid (26) and Shehzad (25) were the main scorers. Liaquat claimed 3 for 47 while Saber took 2 for 3 runs.

Shalimar achieved an unbeaten victory over Olympic Airways in a low scoring match. The losers scored 123 in 18 overs, with Shamim (33) the highest scorer. Tariq and Asif from Shalimar grabbed 3 wickets each conceding 24 and 28 runs respectively. Responding the easy target, Shalimar’s. Tariq (52 - 8 fours and a six) and Naveed (52 - 4 fours and a six) confirmed the unbeaten victory.

Adamjee upset Patel XI beating by 9 wickets. Patel XI all out for 69 with Asif (16) and Ismail (15) were the top scorers. This disaster was due to Saleem and Imran of Adamjee for their superb bowling who captured 4 and 3 wickets for 24 and 15 runs respectively. In reply, Adamjee scored up for the loss of a wicket. Shahid (38) and Imran (13) were the notable scoers.

Zuhair Zehran eased with a nine wickets win against Al-Rabea Express who was all out for 88 runs, in which, Qadafi (45) was the main batsman. M. Khan from Zuhair Zehran obtained 3 for 18 while Haroon took 2 for 10. In reply, Zuhair Zehran made the required runs for the loss of a wicket. Rashid Malik hit 5 fours in his half century.
