DUBAI, 11 December — Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) is initiating a new style of Arabian cultural art in a contemporary theatrical version of the classic 1001 Nights by hosting an international musical drama presented by Caracalla Dance Theatre and produced by Dubai Media City (DMC) during DSF 2002.
The new play titled Two Thousand and One Nights will be staged at DMC from March 20 through 24, as one of the mega entertainment events of DSF 2002.
The new stage show, involving a team of over 300 international and Lebanese artists and technicians, boasts high standards in every respect, including set designing, music score, choreography, costumes, sound, lighting and world-class production values, which have been consistently associated with the Caracalla group. Speaking at a press conference DMC CEO Saeed Hussain Al Muntafiq, said: “DMC is proud to present the new play based on the real oriental heritage in a country that embraces different cultures, arts and media, with the objective of fostering greater cross-cultural interaction.”
