ALKHOBAR, 11 January — In the EPCA League sponsored by Khalifa Al-Gosaibi, AGE batted first and scored 367 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Thanks to Abdul Wahid who scored a wonderful century of 166 runs, which was studded with 14 hits to the fence and one mighty six. Rizwan also bated well and scored a fine half century of 58 runs, Sikander Farooqi contributed 45 runs and Imran Farooqi chipped in with 26 runs.
Athar bowled well and took 2 wickets for 47 runs. In reply, Imran Tigers were all out for 283. Wasim Malik batted very well and scored 84 runs and Nusrat Kamal scored a breezy 64 runs which included six superb boundaries and three towering sixes and Raza contributed 35 runs.
In another match, Al-Ghamdi beat Pak Arab by 9 wickets. Pak Arab scored 150 for 9. Shahzad 39 runs was top scorer and Javed scored 24 runs. Tarique, Sajjad and Farooque bowled well and took 2 wickets each. In reply, Al-Ghamdi reached the target in the 13th over. Sadaqat batted superbly scored an unbeaten 75 with the help of 12 boundaries and a six and took his team to a great victory. Tarque Tanweer scored 35 before being stumped off the bowling of Javed and Khawar remain unbeaten 36.
In another match, Saudi Valves beat Al-Hoda by 96 runs, SVM batted first and scored 339 runs. Syed Imran scored 75 runs. Ashraf scored a fine unbeaten half century, Saleem contributed 38 runs, Muhammad Ayub 29 runs, Faisal 30 runs and Syed Abdul Ghafoor scored valuable 25 runs. Fazal bowled well and took 3 wickets and Anil claimed 2 wickets. In reply, Al-Hoda were all out for 243. Ikram batted very well and scored 89 runs and Aslam contributed 43 runs. David Rajkumar bowled well and took 3 wickets. In another match, Hyderabad Blues beat Khalifa Al-Gosaibi by 67 runs. Hyderabad Blues batted first, and scored 229 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Syed Wasiullah, the captain of Hyderabad Blues was in good form. He batted very well and scored 91 runs, Javed and Shafi contributed 35 runs each. Amin bowled well and took 3 wickets. In reply, Khalifa Al-Gosaibi could only manage to score 162 runs and in the process they lost 9 wickets only, Iqbal batted well and scored as fine half century. Adeem bowled extremely well claimed 5 wickets for 38 runs.
