RIYADH, 11 January — Muhammad Hussain, Afzal, Khawar Hussain, Nazim Siddiqui and Khalid Qureshi slammed tons for their respective teams while Muhammad Mumtaz and Muhammad Saif turned in with good all-round performance against their rivals. Elsewhere, Daniyal Alam and Amer Ashfaq bowled superb bowling spells and helped their sides record easy victories in the ongoing RCA SFB tournaments at Al-Sulay grounds exit 17.
In the "A" division matches, Carrier outclassed Mehran C.C. by 85 runs at RCA-4 grounds. Batting first, Carrier with useful contribution from all their batsmen scored modest 234 all out. In reply, Mehran had no answer to the bowling of Mumtaz and were all out for 149. Mumtaz bowled beautifully and returned with figures of 6 for 24. Helped by back to back centuries from Afzal.
Friends C.C. easily got the better of Fighters C.C. at RCA-3 grounds. Taking the strike first, Friends scored mammoth 368 for 7. Afzal scored a brilliant 129 studded with 12 hits to the fence an Munawar contributed 74 with 6 hits to the fence. Chasing the mammoth score, Fighters did put up a good show but could not scored the required runs and was all out for 277. Muhamamd Hussain’s elegant 115 studded with 7 fours and 3 sixes went in vain for Fighters.
At RCA-1 ground, formidable Saudia Milk outclassed Saudi Ericsson. Batting first, Milkmen aided by a scintillating 93 with 6 fours and 2 sixes by Kashif.

In "B" division, most of the matches were affected due to overnight rain. Khawar Hussain’s unbeaten 106 with 9 fours & Nazim Siddiqui 107 with 11 sweetly timed fours and 1 over it helped Al-Eid XI outplay Saqib at RCA-1 ground while Khalid Qureshi’s 135 with 8 hits to the fence and 8 over it and Ashfaq’s 5 for 35 helped Young Friends beat KFSH&RC at RCA-6 ground. Zaheer Ahmed fought a lone battle for KFSH & RC scoring 80 with 7 hits to the fence.
Daniyal Alam of SAMBA bowled immaculately and demolished Challengers XI with figures of 5 for 17 at RCA-7 while Muhammad Saif’s all round performance (5 for 48 & 44 n.o.) could not save Meezan Spices C.C. from defeat against United Star C.C. at RCA-8 ground.
