RIYADH, 18 January — The Overseas Filipino Workers Bowlers of Riyadh (OFWBR) are now gearing up for the staging of the Monday Pre-Opening One-Day Bowling Tournament at the Riyadh Inter-Continental Hotel Bowling Center. The event will be held on Jan. 21 at 7:30 in the evening.
The tournament will coincide to the forthcoming OMNIA/OFWBR Monday "Paistaran" Bowling League on Jan. 28, wherein a total of fifteen (15) teams have confirmed their participation.
The teams are: The ABB All Stars of Mon Teodoro, Ang "Ajax" of AJ Bonifacio, Ariba-Arabia II of Alvin Reyes, the Strike Zone of Larry Mondoy and Noli Ritual, Maros team of Mario Rosal and Pep Maghinay, D’Allegators of Rolly Manalang, D’Camouflage of Unicap Chairman, Art Basilio Capulong, Bicol Express team of Rizal Dellosa, D’Hunks of Rod Basilio, the King Abdulaziz Medical City Bowlers of Ms. Francis Gloria, the Trashers team of Art Esguerra, D’Bros. Ltd. Of Benny Quebral and the Black Phyton of Virgie. Monday non-participants are also eligible to participate in this event. In the format, the participants will play a five-game series with handicap to determine the champion and the runners-up via sudden death format.
