RIYADH, 8 February — The 2002 EDSA dart showdown, a singles tournament organized by the Expat Darters of Saudi Arabia (EDSA), a prime association of dart enthusiasts based in Riyadh is now on its second week sponsored by Saudi Ericsson through the generous support of Saher Nashed, the distribution network manager, Burger King through the kindness of Ali Al Sharif and Arabian Food Supplies headed by Ammer Dajani.

It is hosted by Cues Recreation Center, the official venue of dart tournaments in Riyadh with the full cooperation of Mohammed Al Subaei, the Manager.

The said tourney will run up to four months and at least sixty darters have already participated. Games are played in Killers-01-Choice (KOC) best of three. Participants should at least finish sixty games to qualify for the semifinal round. Qualifiers will be divided into two groups (A & B) depending on the number of wins. Top ten darters on each group shall have a round robin series best of three (KOC) to determine individual standing and then a stepladder contest shall be played towards the championship round.

Ely Martos of Saudi Mechanical Industries was the first to finish 30 games with a spectacular record of 30-0 win-loss card and awarded a digital audio walkman. Dart enthusiasts are welcome to join this prestigious contest and win cool prizes.
