JEDDAH, 8 February — KKB Class "B" bowler Randy Mata claimed the 26th bowler of the week award at a 3-game series of 742 pins including handicap after assisting his teammates Cyril Balasico, Ver Luz and Majid Aslani in setting up 2 new league records in the team category. Mata submitted 742 at the lines of 255, 246 and 220, which were fortified by his 7-pin handicap per game.

Pitted against MBC on Lanes 21 and 22, the KKB quartet of Balasico (258), Luz (257), Mata (255) and Aslani (186) rocked the lanes on game one by hitting the pins with incredible strikes, scored a scratch series of 956 and knocked down the old 953 mark of Al Ahadal Establishment set several weeks ago. With a team handicap of 45 pins, KKB bettered the old mark in the team high game with handicap (984) recorded by Sarawat Aces to a new mark of 1001.

The sterling performances of the four KKB bowlers scored 84 points and took away the honors of being the team of the week. KKB posted 22 points on game one (1001 pins), 19 points on the penultimate (824) and 21 points on the final bend. Their series of 2661 was awarded with the 22 maximum points after all the total scores were tapered down where the lowest receives one point. MBC recorded 34.5 points.

On lanes 9 and 10, up-coming Saudi Arabian keglers Tariq Al Twairib and Talal Al Twairib of Al Ahadal Establishment blasted Jeddah Bowling Center with solid shots at the expense of Internet@Kape. Al-Ahadal scored 81 points through the tandem of the Al Twairib brothers and with the assists of Ramis Ayoub and Mishal Hamdi. Internet collected 69 points from the good games of Goying Salazar, Roger Dacquioag, Ador Torres and Alex Guinto.

Libby’s Hot Line bowlers Joey Salvador, Nick Suing, Mar Narvasa and Jimboy Almoro outscored by 16 points (75-59) the four Sarawat Aces of Rally Zamora, Igna Salgado, Odjie Sagcal and Jun Cabral when the latter met walls of splits on the second game and merely scored 5 points (722). Libby’s posted a series of 2465 (20 points) while Sarawat submitted 2385 equivalent to 16 points.

Unopposed by the no-show team of Bakin & Co., Top Gun sniped 72 points when snipers Ruben Medina, Bert Tuvera, Leo Edejer and Rudy Valenzuela gunned down 827 pins at the start (17 points), 840 on the second set (21 points) and 788 on the final stretch (15 points). Top Gun swept a series of 2455 equivalent to 19 points.

In other pair of lanes, Otra Cosa outclassed Guess? by 18 points (41-23). SkyFreight Forwarders proved their superiority over the Power Strikers (58-16). Al Alamiah swept 43 points while the opposing team with four question marks and one exclamation point (????!) raked 25.

Saudi Diyar Consultant collected 40 points uncontested. Their opponent, the N-Ball team, defaulted during the match. Seiko clocked at 56 while the flock of The Falcon flew away with 45. Abudawood Trading traded 54 points; PICPA was credited with 51. D’Amigos brought home 40.5 points; Thunderball rolled off 33.

Two bowlers of Al-Ahadal Establishment and four players of KKB submitted their entries to the BBG Elite Club. Tariq Al Twaireb sent his 7th entry at a score of 277. Talal Al Twaireb registered his 4th successful attempt at 259.

KKB’s Randy Mata, Ver Luz, Cyril Balasico and Majid Aslani, delivered their entry cards to the Elite Club by scoring 255, 257, 258 and 275, respectively. It was the third for Mata and Aslani, second for Luz and the first entry for Balasico.
