JEDDAH, 8 February — Red-hot Joey Salvador marvelously excelled when he rolled a 300 perfect score in the last week’s action of the Friday Inter-Commercial Bowling League being played at the Jeddah Bowling Center.

His prowess in bowling once again flourished as he surpassed all the hardship of a bowler’s dream of rolling a perfect score of 300. "When I got ten strikes in a row enroute for a 300 perfect score, I kept my faith and I can’t imagine rolling a perfect score of 300 under a more pressure way especially to the crowd who’s watching me whether I will make it or not", the jubilant Salvador said.

Salvador is the latest bowler to enter the 300 Perfect Club roster in Jeddah. The other 300 perfect holders were Cris Villavelez, Rally Zamora, Hashim Guinomla, Rene Santiago and the graceful Ariel Urquia.

The right-handed Salvador playing with the Sadafco team rolled the 300 perfect score in the first game of action against the Insektos team of Arnold Alday. Salvador’s excitement after making the perfect score, rolled his average game in the remaining two games by downing 172 and 180 and got a three-game series scratch of 652.

Also sharing spotlight with Salvador were the keglers of the Pepsi team who posted a 5-0 victory over the Lux Power. Powering the Pepsi squad to humble the Lux Power came through the heroics of Kamiz and Rene Santiago who toppled a separate three game series scratch of 620 and 607. Zaldy, Raquel and Rose contributed a separate series of 555, 450 and 410 in three matches. A towering overall total team output of 2858 pinfalls were recorded by the Pepsi keglers.

Submitting the best output in the Lux Power team are Paul Antiporda and Andy who sealed a series of 564 and 539. Fatima, Jhun Lasaga and Jessica rolled a series of 486, 394 and 357. Lux Power garnered overall total team output of 2714 points.

The Tornado team keglers demolished their opponent (5-0) and topscoring was Roger Daquiaog with 612 series, followed by Willie A. (556), Jess C. (519), Edna Uy (427) and Nurissa (410).

Danny de Guzman dubbed as the centennial bowler led his team by carding a series of 570. Jun Filipina and Randy Mata submitted a series of 548 and 524 while Bamba Diaz and Mel Sta. Ana toppled a separate series of 501 and 344.

Despite of Joey Santiago’s rolling a 300 perfect score, still the Insektos team humbled his team, the Sadafco (4-1). The Insektos leading scorer was Nonie Yap with 629, followed by Josie San Pedro (604), Sid "tisoy" Lapena (543), Arnold Alday (537) and Bugsy Alday (426). Rene Martinez of the Sadafco came-in next to Santiago with a best score by toppling a series of 577 while teammates Puri Parena, Grace Siasoco and Procy L. had a series of 462, 393 and 376.

The NPS/Internet tallied overall total team output of 2666 to dismantle the Swingers II who posted 2621 overall total team output. Goying Salazar led in the NPS/Internet by pouring a series of 598 while Mar Narvasa followed with 594 points. Beng Cerbito collected 526 pinfalls and Adore Torres snatched 496 series in three outings.

For the Swingers II team, Nick Suing topscored with 504 series in three sets followed by Mao Orolfo (496), Igna (400), Alice (399) and Wilma (391).

Lifting the Power Strikers team to post a convincing win over the Acis B. was Rally Zamora with 564 series in three games. Toto "katapat" Lim seared the lanes to score 563 series while Beth Concepcion and Shirley Pratt toppled a separate three game series of 542 and 536. Jhun Cabral chipped-in 491 series.

Danny Confreros rolled a big round to be on top in the Acis B. team by hammering a series of 620 in three matches. Roger Abantas sizzled to score a series of 583 and Bobby Baraquiel pocketed 564. Gayle Mata and Lyn Decena pinned-down a series of 421 and 419 in three games, respectively.

The highly spirited Fred Monzon flew high to pilot the Sky Luv team to wallop the Jewellers team (4-1). Monzon registered a series of 616 in three sets. The multi-talented Criz Villavelez dazzled to score a series of 582. Rod "turbo" Morales and Lilia Morales together with Yoly Santos ignited a series of 559, 430 and 420. Sammy Ocampo shot 580 series to lead in the Jewellers team. Grace Manjarez and Ante Ramos spinned a series of 449 and 436. Arnold Santos and Evelyn Cachero rolled 421 and 405.

The exciting match between the Ball Mixer and the Seiko ended at 4-1, in favor of the Ball Mixer. Ver Luz of the Ball Mixer displayed awesome performance to topscore by carding a series of 598 and given a splendid support by fellow members Bhing Tuazon (538), Passkey (485), Edgar Hernandez (485) and Connie Enaldo (453). The best scorers in the Seiko were the quadro of Abet (549), Felix (549), Nida (503) and Aisah (501) and next to them was Vic S. (468).

The Al-Zamil 3 rolled past the Al-Zain Cargo Express (3-2) and saw Bonnie G. led in the Al-Zamil with 608 series, followed by Jess E. (566), Lynna E. (504) and Jay P. (396). Danny Bautista seared the lanes to be on top in the Al-Zain Cargo by carding a series of 646. Susan Patayan and Nap Patayan hooked-up a series of 596 and 534. Jung and May T. scored 432 and 427.
