Prolific Tulabut rolls big round, is named Bowler of the Week

RIYADH, 15 February — The prolific Reden Tulabut, wearing the jersey of the SkyFreight Forwarders team, rolled a big round to capture the Bowler of the Week award in the 13th week of the Giordano Fashions/OFWBR “Payanigan” Wednesday Bowling League at the Riyadh Inter-Continental Hotel Bowling Centre.

Tulabut, a Class B bowler and equipped with 10 handicaps per game posted a four-game series of 827. Tulabut rolled a game-high of 230 in the first game, followed by 164 and 191 in the second and third games and scored 202 in the final game. For his feat, Tulabut received a Giordano T-shirt and SkyFreight’s 20 kgs seafreight cargo voucher.

Sharing limelight with Tulabut were the Pangasinan team keglers who snatched Team of the Week award by collecting 22 points over their rival, the Coolebraz who sealed 9 points. It was the brilliant games of Phol Grepo and Vher Cayago as both powered the Pangasinan to post a convincing win over the Coolebraz. Grepo and Cayago tallied a separate four-game series of 811 and 807.

Pep Maghinay and Pat “fatima” Raz sparkled too to score a series of 754 and 711. Joey Maningas contributed 325 series. The heroics of the Pangasinan keglers paid them the Team of the Week award.

Romy Liggayu was at the forefront in the Coolebraz squad with a series of 775. Rodel Catanghal and Ace Sulit garnered a series of 553 and 525 in three outings while Raul Medina downed a series of 492 in three games.

Almer Cabangun had 443 pinfalls and Chris Tolosa together with Donjie Mapalad knocked-down a series of 356 and 354 in two games.

The Calabarzon II team mentored by Jimmy Ocampo humbled the SkyFreight Forwarders captained by Larry Mondoy (19-14).

Ellen “feliciti” Bernabe posting a series of 780 in four games led the Calabarzon II and next to her was Rey Dela with 777, followed by Jene Canlas (772), and Tenz Taeza (742). Benjie Domado and Fred Lim toppled a separate two-game series of 389 and 335.

Reden Tulabut, the bowler of the week awardee seared the lanes to post a commanding series of 824 to be on top in the SkyFreight Forwarders team. Rolly Amis sparkled a series of 796 to follow Tulabut. Jimmy Medina dazzled to submit a series of 514 in three outings while Oca Bernabe, Atoy Malubay and Larry Mondoy collected a series of 383, 364 and 346 in two matches. Atoy Malubay rolled 341 pinfalls in two games.

The fancied Split Converters of Rolly Manalang thrashed the Ariba-Arabia of Mar Reyes (16-7).

Leading scorers in the Split Converters is the tandem of Rolly Manalang and Dante Prado who registered a series of 776 and 764 in four outings. Ramon Nilo and Marvin Arocena added a series of 679 and 609 in four sets while Romy Matic downed a series of 545 in three games.

Cornering limelight in the Ariba-Arabia was Mar Reyes who fired a series of 729 in four matches and sizzling with him was Manny Tuzon with a series of 721. Ed Dalisay, Noel Morales and Leo Agote compiled a series of 594, 518 and 502.

The Game Ka Na Ba piloted by Rene Tanglao displayed awesome performances to dismantle the Sunrise team of Eden Bergonio. Lifting the Game Ka Na Ba team was through the good games of Jell Tan who fired a series of 746.

Fred Zacarias and Malco Muyco poured in a series of 678 and 642 in four sets. Jasper Durago sandbagged a series of 403 and the sweet shooting Gigi Enriquez scored 390 series. Eymard Rene Tanglao and Eymard Dimayagu carded a series of 352 and 351.

The combination of Clem Salazar and Glen Mariano topscored in the Sunrise team by posting a separate four game series of 788 and 750. Eden Bergonio, Louie Leguarda and Ahmed Zeptawi rolled a series of 674, 665 and 630.

The PNB Bankeros at Abp recorded an impressive 18-8 victory against the Wizard’s 23 and posting the best output in the PNB are James Frizzle (762) and Jun Pineda (733).

Jun Evangelista had 675 series. Dong Calub and Bert Lopez scored a series of 376 and 343 in two games.

Promising Mar “delilah” Samson stole the limelight in the Wizard’s 23 by knocking out a series of 761. Remy Pantaleon shot 600 series and Emil Rances snatched 520 series in three games. Nap Torres and Ernie Gonzales pinned-down a series of 481 and 475 in three outings.

The E-Banking team of Ely Reyes and Ed Sy walloped the Calabarzon I (15-6) and leading scorers in the E-Banking team were Freddie Aquino (764), Teody Zulaybar (731) and Clem Guelas (711). Reyes hooked-up 635 pinfalls in four matches and Sy downed 537 points in three games.
