DAMMAM, 8 March — Al Nasr of Riyadh scored a narrow 1-0 victory over local challengers Al Ittifaq in the King’s Cup soccer tournament here last night.
Saleh Al-Dawood found the mark to gain victory for Nasr who remain fourth on the league table with 37 points from 18 matches while Ittifaq are eighth with 18 points.
In another match of the competition played in Makkah, bottom-placed Al Wahda surprised Al Shola 2-0.
Paolo D’Silva netted both the goals for the winners. Shola are sixth with 24 points from 19 matches. Wahda, at the bottom rung, have 11 points from 19 games.
