RIYADH, 26 April — In connection with the celebration of the 104th Philippine Independence Day, the Steering Committee of the said event came up to holding sports activities for the Filipino Community here starting May 2 until June 7.
The theme of the celebration is “Magaling Ka, Pilipino” and sports activities to be in action are: basketball, bowling, volleyball, and martial arts. According to Geng Tolentino, Chairman of the Sports Committee, everybody is welcomed to participate in these activities or they may just simply come and watch every game and get the chance of winning valuable gift items including a brand new Hyundai car, among others.
Basketball games will be played at the Riyadh Sheraton Hotel Basketball Court every Thursday and Friday from 4:00-9:00 p.m. Bowling activities will be at the Riyadh Inter.Continental Hotel, Gate 12 from May 3-June 7 every Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
