JEDDAH, 31 August — Two Jeddah teams — Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahli — recorded comfortable victories in the Prince Faisal ibn Fahd Cup soccer tournament yesterday.
A hat trick by internatioanl star Hasan Al-Yami, and goals from Hamza Idris (two), Mohammed Amin, Munaf Abu Shogair and Usama Al-Mowalid enabled Ittihad to down Al-Najmah 8-1 in the match played in Onaiza. Ahmad Al-Harbi scored Najmah’s goal.
Ahli scored through Saad Al-Dosari and Fahd Falatah (two) to beat Al-Ra’ed 3-0 in Jeddah.
In Riyadh, Al-Shabab defeated Al-Riyadh 2-1. Naji Mojarshi and Ahmad Otaif for Shabab and Badr A-Dosary for Riyadh were the scorers.
In a match played in Hail, Al-Ta’ie and Al-Shoala were involved in a 1-1 draw.
After a goalless first half, Shoala took the lead in the 74th minute through Khalid Al-Jorayd but Ta’ie equalized within a couple of minutes through Amatji.
