RIYADH, 25 October — Bankable Ave Tena powered the Bahr Al-Olum to claim separate awards by clinching the best bowler and the best team of the week awards, respectively in the 16th week of the Forex Sea Cargo "Dahil Kailangan Makarating" Thursday Regulated Bowling League being played at the FAL Bowling Center.

Also sharing bowling limelight with Tena and Bahr Al-Olum team were the keglers of the Batch 2002 came-in as the second best team in last week’s of action. Tena, fresh from his brilliant showing in the just concluded FAL Summer Open wherein he placed second behind Gabby Javier who captured the title.

Tena’s sterling performance which he powered the Bahr Al-Olum to dismantle the Vision 2 with a score of 20 — 1 produced a remarkable four game series of 823, rolling a game high of 233 in the first game and followed by 199, 211 and 180 to romp-away the best bowler of the week honor. Extending splendid support to Tena were through the courtesy of Rey Mendoza, Fred Dilapdilap and Johnson Egi who contributed a separate four game series of 723, 716 and 715.

Pol Lobo added a series of 503 n three matches while Wilmer Encina had a score of 190 in one game. For the Vision 2 team captained by Alex Bandoy, topscoring was Rene Enriquez with a series of 698. Remy Pantaleon and Emil Rances carded a series of 557 and 505 in three outings while Roel Toledo and Nap Torres scored a series of 482 and 449 in three games.

Onette Orca downed a series of 328 in two sets. The fancied Batch 2002 team keglers mentored by the veteran Weng Loren recorded another impressive victory by defeating the Rolling Gems (19-6). The heroics of Ed Gallebo together with the convincing games of Jing Jimenez, Weng Loren and 3D Divina brought the Batch 2002 in the cloud nine by posting a separate four game series of 818, 771, 724 and 718. Mujer Pangilinan and Kaiseer "overweight" Shakeel supported the Batch 2002 by contributing a separate series of 543 and 157. The Rolling Gems team keglers who were blind in the first game, saw Abet Azarcon led by tallying a series of 605 in three games.

Bobot delos Angeles and Rolly Montes toppled a series of 556 and 505 to follow Delos Angeles as the next players with a good output. Arnold Bellen scored a series of 469 while Joey Rivero, Rosen Capule and Willie Termulo had 192, 158 and 154 points in one game. The Game Ka Na Ba upset the powerhouse Pangasinan Strikers (17 — 5) and the leading scorers in the Game Ka Na Ba were the Fred Zacarias, Eymard Dimayuga, Jell Tan and Malco Muyco.

Zacarias and Tan tallied a separate four game series of 798 and 759 while the duo of Tan and Muyco submitted a series of 700 and 701. Jasper Durago and Arnel Gordovez registered a series of 324 and 315 in two games, respectively. Garnering the best scores in the Pangasinan Strikers was Andy Altea who fired a four game series of 715. Jun "jpaks" Ausa was next to Altea with a series of 691 in four games.

Wilson Bacala and Jett Cabana collected a series of 540 and 526 in three sets. Francis Banta downed 322 series while Yuli Braganza and Willie Ortega toppled an identical two game series of 312. The Navy Eagles continued their winning streak to seal another victory over the Lucky Strikes (16-11).

The dynamic tandem of Manny Balangue and Benjie Bangug powered the Navy Eagles team by posting a series of 770 and 733 in four matches. The singing bowler Manny Tuzon and Dave Pare sizzled to score a series of 694 and 679. Joe Concepcion and Noel "ganda-ganda" Morales sparkled too to submit a separate two game series of 379 and 370.

The Navy Eagles team captained by Mar Reyes still hold the numero uno spot after the 16th week of action. Larry Mondoy and Vher Cayago top scored in the Lucky Strikes team by knocking-down a separate four game series of 771 and 747. Noli Ritual had a series of 660 in four outings while Atoy Malubay, Eden Bergonio, Jun Malana and Benny Mondoy scored a separate series of 350, 344, 340 and 333 in two games, respectively.

The Pampanga Dragons quintet managed by Roger Bautista walloped the Adrenalin (15-4) while the MAK/Nokia defeated the Masbate (9-4). The veteran Pep Maghinay together with Bautista and Leo Mabunga of the Pampanga seared the lanes to score a series of 778, 764 and 711 in four matches.

Jess Cuevas and Babes Nival rolled a series of 628 and 598 in four games. For the Adrenalin team, topscoring is the duo of Rod Basilio and Ferdie Ramos who submitted an identical four game series of 701. Efren Abuyo and Dellosa got a series of 660 and 652 in four outings. Henry Sonias had a series of 551. MAK/Nokia subdued the Masbate with a scores of 9 — 4 and on top in the MAK/Nokia was Tino Gaoat (671), followed by Willy Nogoy (574), Gigi Enriquez (550), Luis Queyquep (490), and Robert Castro (446). Delfin Uy and Michael Ochida scored 318 and 279 points.

Jun Ego JB Valerio led in the Masbate with a series of 729 and 721. Benjie Valderama and Jun Ego had a series of 658 and 642.
