DAMMAM, 8 December 2002 — The Saudi national football team, who are making the final preparations for next week’s Arab Cup beginning on Dec. 16 in Kuwait, will play two friendly matches against Lebanon on Tuesday and Friday. The team have currently entered the second phase of their training at the Prince Muhammad Stadium here. The eight-day camp focuses on the tactical aspects of the game while the first phase of the coaching camp in Riyadh laid stress on physical fitness, according to the team’s Dutch coach Van der Liem. Goalkeeper Muhammad Al-Khojali and striker Yasri Al-Basha will continue their medical treatment until they leave for Kuwait. (Yasser Al-Hozaim)
