JEDDAH, 1 January 2003 — Makkah Governor Prince Abdul Majeed will meet today a delegation of Japanese students who are currently on a study tour of the Kingdom. Their visit comes within the framework of the cultural and scientific cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Japan.
The 11-member Japanese delegation arrived in the Kingdom after Prince Abdul Majeed, who is the president of the Saudi Science Club, underscored the importance of the exchange of visits by youths of different nations in a teleconference organized two months ago by the club in which Saudi and Japanese students participated.
Abdullah Naseef, vice president of the club, stressed the significance of the visit that enables the youths in the two countries to be familiar with the developments in various fields and widen their horizons of knowledge and experience.
With the continuous support from Prince Abdul Majeed the club has been striving to develop the faculties of talented students in the Kingdom, Naseef said.
