JEDDAH, 11 January 2003 — Al-Ittifaq recorded a rousing 4-2 victory over Al-Najma in the King Fahd Cup Soccer Tournament at Prince Muhammad ibn Fahd Stadium in Dammam yesterday.

Saleh Bashir opened the scoring for Ittifaq in the 25th minute and added another in the 86th minute. Ahmad Al-Bahri (51st) and Brazilian Leonardo in injury time (91st) were the other Ittifaq scorers.

For Najma Ishaq Kawaki (67th) and Mishaal Al-Harbi (84th) scored. Ittifaq with this victory in the 11th week of action are on ninth position with 11 points.

In the other match of the day held in Prince Faisal ibn Fahd Stadium in Riyadh, Al-Nasr routed Al-Raid 6-2.

Julio Cesar (17th, 22nd), Torniho (20th), Roque (24th) struck in a seven-minute blitz to give Nasr a cushion of four goals. In the second half, Nasr continued from where they had left off with Badr Al-Haqabani (56th) hitting the fifth and Rorniho rounding off the tally in the 78th minute. Saud Al-Saeedan and Modi Anjay scored for Raid.
