RIYADH, 20 January 2003 — Efforts are under way to establish a major tourist center in Thumama, northeast of Riyadh. A committee responsible for the task of developing the resort met here on Saturday under the chairmanship of Riyadh Governor Prince Salman and discussed investment projects in the area. Abdullatif Al-Sheikh, chairman of projects and planning at Riyadh Development Authority, said the new projects would be floated for private investment by the second half of this year. (SPA)
