RIYADH, 23 January 2003 — Hanny Megalli, executive director of Human Rights Watch (HRW) for Middle East and North Africa, held talks here yesterday with legal officials. Megalli was received by Justice Minister Abdullah Al-Sheikh and Mohammad Al-Mahwoos, head of the public prosecution department. The minister explained to Megalli new legislation introduced in the Kingdom last year to safeguard human rights. (SPA)
