JEDDAH, 4 February 2003 — Dr. Khaled Batrafi, a well-known Saudi journalist, will provide the background to the story of Lujain, an Egyptian girl barred by an international school in Jeddah for wearing a head scarf as reported in Arab News, in an interview with Saudi Radio’s Samar Fatani. He will also speak about discrimination against expatriate workers and women’s rights. The 20-minute interview will be aired by the radio’s English service (FM 96.2) at 9.45 p.m. today and 8.35 p.m. on Thursday.
