JEDDAH, 6 February 2003 — Speakers in a seminar in Jeddah, stressed that the resolution of Kashmir dispute between India and Pakistan is a prerequisite for peace and stability in South Asia.
They also highlighted the atrocities being perpetrated by the Indian security forces on innocent Kashmiris. The speakers also said that Kashmiris should be given the right of self-determination. A large number of Saudis and Pakistanis attended the seminar. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Adm. (retd.) Abdul Aziz Mirza presided over the function. Sami Angawi, a Saudi scholar, was the chief guest.
