JEDDAH, 21 February 2003 — The ongoing 1st Samsung-15th FBA Basketball Tournament will windup at the Sheraton Compound Basketball Court in Jeddah. This tournament is organized by the Filipino Basketball Association (FBA).

Gerry Acosta & Ferdie Dalinoc’s Talk ‘N’ Text team are crowned champions in the Inter-Company Non-Rated Reinforced Division via the shooting ability of Hernandez, Jamahali & Pakkie when they beat Brutos Warriors of Ramon Borja and Ruel Buhat (77-68).
Meanwhile, in the Inter-Company Bona Fide A Division, Hafil Transport of Jojo Esquivias, Danny Leguins and Nap Solis were unsuccessful in their bid to win Game Six in their best-of-seven championship series when they lost to the formidable team of Al-Tayar Plastic Co. of Omie Araneta and Fahad Al-Khuteifi (93-85). It was a real championship match that kept the fans to their toes and continuously yelling for their favorite players.

Abdulrahman Al-Mishari Hospital Eagles (Riyadh Inter-Hospital 2002 champion) visited Jeddah through the initiative of BAR (Basketball Association of Riyadh) composed of Dr. Lito Astillero, Biox Manilum, Jess Vinluan, Bert Herrera, Rey Ruiz and the team players Rex Capati, Jovan Roble, Jeffrey Salac, Cyrus Ruiz, Dennis Almario, Anonoy Esguerra, Rodney Esguerra, Rey Vitor, Ike Cortez, Erick Villatema and Aris Palmero. They played an exhibition match with the Junastar Cargo Services (Jeddah) team composed of Alvin Serrano, Omeng Sahagun, Jhong Rapada, Dante Rivero, Roger Pineda, Ricky Camaniag, John Gatchalian, Dindo Garces.
