JEDDAH, 25 February 2003 — A text message on a cell phone claimed the life of a man in his 20s, Al- Madinah reported yesterday. The man was driving along the southern highway when he tried to write a text message to be sent to a friend. He was concentrating so much on the message that he did not notice his car veering off the road. He hit a rocky mountain, and sustained serious head injuries. He died two days later in hospital.
