JEDDAH, 27 February 2003 — The PSME-WRSA (Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers - Western Region chapter will conduct a basic course on photography for members today, diverting from the society’s usual technical seminars.
Officials of the group said while photography is not in line with the mechanical engineering profession, the course could provide participants the basic knowledge, which can be used for their hobby or for extra income.
The course will cover the proper use of a camera (point-and-shoot or professional type), correct exposure, proper framing of subject and camera care, said current chapter president Rey Mejia.
Ed Reonisto, a professional photographer working in a multi-media advertising company and his colleagues from various fields in the photo industry, will share their practical experience and knowledge of the trade. The seminar will be held at Harry Ramsden Restaurant beside Danube Supermarket in Hamra District, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
