RIYADH, 3 March 2003 — Britain’s chief of air staff, Air Marshall Sir Peter Squire, held talks here yesterday with Prince Khaled ibn Sultan, assistant defense minister for military affairs, the SPA news agency reported. SPA said the two officials reviewed “issues of mutual concern for the two friendly nations,” without providing details. Saudi Air Force commander Lt. Gen. Abdul Aziz Hunaidy attended the meeting. Meanwhile, British chief of defense staff Michael Boyce is on a three-day visit to Kuwait to discuss “regional developments and military cooperation” with his Kuwaiti counterpart and visit British troops deployed in the emirate.
