JEDDAH, 11 March 2003 — The higher authorities have sanctioned SR100 million to implement a national strategy to fight poverty, according to Labor and Social Affairs Minister Dr. Ali Al-Namlah.
A working team of experts has been given two years to prepare the strategy, Al-Namlah said, urging philanthropists to donate generously to the fund for tackling poverty in the country. A special account (No. 999) at Al-Rajhi Bank has been opened to receivedonations.
