MOSCOW, 13 March 2003 — The Kingdom’s petroleum minister will discuss oil policy in the face of a looming war in Iraq during a visit to Russia that begins today, an official in the Saudi Embassy here told AFP yesterday.
The official declined to give further details about the visit, but Saudi diplomatic sources said Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali Al-Naimi would meet his Russian counterpart Igor Yusufov. “This visit is being planned to coordinate energy policy in the two countries,” the sources said.
