TABUK, 6 April 2003 — The takings of coffee shops and parks decreased by 40 percent because of the war in Iraq, Okaz newspaper reported. Ahmad Al-Masri, supervisor at one of the parks in Tabuk, said attendance dropped 35-40 percent since the war started. People prefer to watch the war on television rather than spend quality time in parks, he said.
