Day after day the Zionist dream of establishing “a greater Israel from the Nile to the Euphrates” is being consolidated. Today Israel is the major beneficiary of the occupation of Iraq with its benefits far outweighing those of even America and Britain. One day, those two powers will withdraw from Iraq, leaving behind the chronic cancer — Israel — that has plagued the region for decades.
The Zionist state will then play various roles with the principal one being to serve its own interests and then those of the US and Britain. Future governments in Iraq will show either full or partial collaboration, covertly or overtly, with Israel. The collaboration will come through trade and economic agreements and contracts. Baghdad will be so pressured it will be unable to disentangle itself from such agreements even if it wanted to. Any sincere attempt to do away with those agreements will be enough justification for the Zionists to launch an attack on Iraq which by then would not be in no position to prevent an attack since it would no longer have any military capabilities. The destruction of Iraq’s military will be a fact by then either because of the war that has just ended or through the dismantling of the army at the hands of the country’s interim government — on orders from Washington. The dismantling would of course take place under the pretext of building a prosperous nation despite the fact that for most people a nation without an army is a nation without dignity.
Iraq’s wealth has already been reserved for so-called reconstruction contracts from which American and British companies, as well as Israeli ones working under the guise of multinationals or Western firms, will make billions. Some economists say that fulfilling these contracts will consume Iraq’s oil revenues for at least the next 50 years.
Only a year and a half ago, the possibility of such things happening was inconceivable, far beyond the imaginations of even the wildest Western analysts let alone the worst Arab pessimists. The plans, however, were already in existence, shrouded in secrecy and kept hidden among files of clandestine plans and dark conspiracies.
What else can we expect? What other plans are being hatched by the enemy to weaken our region and suck its resources? We should expect the worst and prepare ourselves for it.
