JEDDAH, 5 May 2003 - Filipino civil engineers in Jeddah and nearby areas are invited to attend a technical seminar on Friday on the occasion of the 4th anniversary celebration of the Association of Filipino Civil Engineers - Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The celebration and seminar will be held at the Al-Hamra Sofitel Hotel on Palestine Road, starting at 5:30 p.m., said a statement from AFCE.

During the event, AFCE will induct its new set of officers and directors following the free seminar on "Design and Application of Topstone Solid Surface Materials."

The new set of officers are: Romulo Bani, president; Norberto Bonaglonta, 1st vice president; Dominic Malapitan, secretary; Esmael Ali, treasurer; Arturo Estigoy, business manager; Gamoranao Mapandi, PRO; Manuel E. Mangulabnan, auditor.

The directors are: Roy Astillero, Rosauro Vallesteros, Cesar Cabida, Muslimen S. Noor, Laureano Ortega, Marilou Aquino, Dimal Mustapha, Erasmo Roman and Jay Laureno.

Association president Bani said non-registered Filipino civil engineers are also invited to attend the association's on-going pre-board review course in preparation for the Civil Engineers Licensure Examination which is expected to be held here in Jeddah in October by the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

Bani also called on all Filipino registered professionals who wish to renew their PRC indentification cards. AFCE is processing renewals for all professions, except for those who belong to the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME) or the Integrated Institute of Electrical Engineers (IIEE).
