JEDDAH, 24 October 2003 — Two matches were played in the King Fahd Cup Soccer tournament last night.

The first was between Hilal (Riyadh) and Ittihad (Jeddah) at Prince Faisal ibn Fahd Stadium in Riyadh, which ended in a goalless draw. Ittihad, however, dominated the game with its forwards and defenders in full form.

This was the first drawn game for Ittihad after a consecutive win of seven games. With this draw, Ittihad remains in first position with 22 points, while Hilal is in sixth position with 10 points.

In the second match played in Hail, Al-Taie (Hail) beat Al-Qadisiya (Dammam) 2-0.

This was the second win for Taie after it lost six games before. This is its second consecutive win after Al-Ajlani became its coach. Taie remains in 12th position with 6 points. The first game Taie won was against Hilal in Riyadh played earlier this week. Al-Qadisiya is in fifth position with 11 points.
