DAMMAM, 14 November 2003 — The Rezayat Co. Limited launched its first ever Inter-Company Basketball Cup Tournament held at Rezayat basketball court at Abqaiq Road, Dammam. The tournament highlighted an exciting opening match between Rezayat Mavericks against DJ Store whereby DJ Store pulled off a pleasant surprise by upsetting Rezayat Mavericks 75-68.
After a month of grueling battle in the hard court, the SAFAMI team make their way to the championship game after a head to head crucial win against the Rezayat Slasher 86-75.
Coach Ricky Pingol banked on the highly dominating performances of Roberto Lugtu and Alex Basilio, coupled with the slashing fast-break of Ruel Pineda. The trio who netted 14, 18, and 20 points respectively led the game.
