JEDDAH, 16 April 2004 — Saudia City, Saudia Majestique, Nader Toor, Hero Rangers and GCI beat their rivals in the fourth week matches of Division II matches played last Friday organized by (JCL).

At Hempel paints grounds, Saudia City’s Nasim Khan scored 48 while Irfan 22, Silva 22 mustered only 146 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs.

Aijaz, Jawad and Ghayoor shared two wickets each. In reply Babar Toor’s Ghayoor and Shehzad went on to score 64 runs but none of the other batsmen could withstand the accurate bowling of Saudia City. They lost by 7 runs. Junaid took 3 for 27 and Naseem Khan 3 for 23.

Saudia Majestique Beat IISJ: At Juffali grounds, Saudia Majestique rattled up 162 for 8 in their allotted 18 overs. Amjad scored 66, and Naeem 22 while Zubair added 23 runs. Joshi took 3 for 37, and Mamoon 2 for 26.

IISJ captain Amjad Majeed-ul-Hassan remained unbeaten on 51 valuable runs, and Mamoon 19 runs but no other batsmen could reach the double figures. Iqbal took 2 for 10 while Harris and Saleem Boobat took one each wicket for 11 and 19 respectively and gave their team victory by the margin of 48 runs.

Otis Lose to Fancy Nader Toor by 35 Runs: At Otis grounds, Nader Toor scored 162 for 3 in their allotted 18 overs. Murtuza hit 20, Nadeem contributed 30, Rizwan 51 valuable runs and Nader and Sadiq remained unbeaten on 28 and 16 respectively. Abbas and Hamza took one wicket each for 32 and 22 for their team. Otis were bundled out for a paltry 127 for 6 in their allotted 18 overs Akhtar and Akbar contributed for their team by hitting 24 and 18 runs respectively. Murtuza took 3 for 19 while Nader and Nadeem took one wicket each. Nader Toor won this match by 35 runs.

Hero Rangers Clinch Victory Over Earnest Young: At Attar grounds, Earnest Young scored 153 for 9 in the allotted overs against Hero Rangers. Aamir scored 48 runs and Ameen 58. Hero ranger’s bowlers Nadeem, Furkhan, Adil, Basheer and Safdar shared two wickets each. In reply Hero Rangers’ Iftekhar hammered 61 runs and Jay Kumar 59 to score 156 for 4 finishing the match in 15 overs and a 6 wickets win. Azhar of Earnest Young picked 2 for 22 and Ameen 1 for 34.

GCI Trounce Over Talha Optics: GCI’s Imran, Shahid and Asif Zaheer with their contribution of 39, 30 and 21 runs respectively helped their team to reach a respectable total of 155 for 8 in their allotted overs. The bowling contribution for Talha Optics came from Affan 2 for 27, Abdul Rehman 2 for 32, and Asad 2 for 19.

In reply, Talha Optics were bundled out for 125 all out in 17 overs giving GCI a thumping victory by 30 runs.
