RIYADH, 16 April 2004 — The Kabayan Hotel and the SkyFreight Forwarders have confirmed to sponsor the All Filipino Individual Philippine Independence Day Bowling Tournament on June 10 and 11 at the FAL Bowling Center. The overall in-charge of the tournament is Gigi Enriquez with members Willy Nogoy, Fred Zacarias, Joey Maningas and Jojo Demetrio. Roland Blanco, ABS-CBN TFC Middle-East Correspondent, Riyadh will cover the opening day.
The other sponsors of the tournament are the Baskin Robbins, McDonald, House of Donuts, Pinoy Supermarket, Fitaihi, Sodas Sports, sole distributor of FILA shoes, the ABS-CBN The Filipino Channel (TFC), Khalid Hamoud, Lessee of the FAL Bowling Alley, Abuljadayel Beverages Industries, distributor of Bison Energy Drink and Caesar Natural Juice and the Bulacan Sports Master Tailoring who will donate the jacket to the champion. The donors are Fred Zacarias, Joey Maningas, Noli Ritual, Boy Fogata, Larry Mondoy and Benjie Domado who confirmed to donate the trophies that will be awarded to the champion and runners-up.
Format: Open to male and female Filipino bowlers only. Deadline for payment of entry fee will be on June 3 (Thursday). Priorities will be given to FAL Thursday League participants. Qualifying Round — Entry Fee SR80: Registration will start right after the Isha prayer. Shadow bowl will commence at 8:30 p.m. and the roll-off time will be 8:45 p.m. The participants will play a six-game series with handicap. The handicaps that will be applied are the following: Class A — 5, Class B — 10, Class C — 15, Class D — 20 and 30 for Novice players (male and female).
