JEDDAH, 30 April 2004 — The trio of Goying Salazar, Bonnie Garcia and Pinky Acato with Romy Vargas and Charrie Cruz helped the Philippine National Bank (PNB) team grab the No. 1 position.

They produced 45 points and were the week's best performer in the 2nd week of the Inter-Company Bowling League being staged at the Jeddah Lanes Bowling Alley. The league is organized by the Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Jeddah (FTBJ).

Salazar led PNB with a three-game series scratch of 574 while Garcia and Acato produced separate series scratch of 529 and 519. Vargas had a series of 480 while Charri scored 427. PNB accumulated a total team output handicap of 2,790 pinfalls.

Berks II team climbed up the ladder to occupy the second position. They garnered 39 points through Jess Pineda, Gil Ordonez, Jess Escondo, Jay Perez and Linda Escondo. Pineda and Ordonez submitted separate series of 540 and 524 while Jess submitted 523 series scratch in three games. Perez and Linda contributed series of 500 and 454. Berks II tallied an overall team output handicap of 2,757 points.

Option Investment and the Qatar Airways Strikes collected an identical 36 points. Topscoring for the Option Investment team were Val Magsino with 522 series and Paul Antiporda with 500 series. Tim Skar, Yolly Santos and Rose Parinas chipped in with separate series of 485, 476 and 442. Option Investment registered total team output handicaps of 2,740 points.

For the Qatar Airways Strikes team, leading the best series scratch in three games was Nap Patayan with 577 points. Cris Villavelez toppled 573 series scratch in three outings. Ed Cordova, Susan Patayan and Aleli Sacdo rolled separate series of 501, 489 and 395. Qatar Airways registered total team output handicap of 2,766 pinfalls.

Sammy's Team and the Oasis Building Contracting bowling teams went home with identical 34 points.

For Sammy's team Mar Lapena shot a convincing 595 points. Mixi Lechuga carded a series of 505 in three games while team captain Sam Ocampo scored a series of 464. Grace Dasas and Vangie Lim downed separate series of 438 and 397.

Leading the Oasis Building Contracting team were the tandem of Jun Pilipina and Louie Bautista who sealed separate series of 595 and 562. Ester Jalata, Iladio and Jessica Fuentes got a series of 461, 433 and 370.

The Oasis Building Contracting team racked a total team handicap output of 2,721 pinfalls.
