JEDDAH, 21 May 2004 — Twelve teams will participate in the JCL Under 19 Tournament that begins at the JCL Sports Complex this weekend. Two groups consisting of six teams each will see action every Thursday afternoon.
The matches will be 20 overs a side. JCL will provide one umpire and this tournament will be played on knockout basis. Six grounds will be used in this tournament. The finals will be played on Mahmood Saeed grounds.
The grounds are: Khalid Kanoo, Nestle Milo, Juffali, Hempel Paints, Attar & Zuhier Zahran Grounds.
The participating teams are Nestle Milo, SGB Baroom, Hero Rangers, IDB, Publicis Graphics, Urdu News, Talha Optics, Sadafco, Young Athelete, UMA, Nader Toor & KAIA Colts.
JCL Executive General Secretary Muhammad Iqbal announced that Azizullah Shareef, a debonair cricketer in his earlier days in Karachi, and Sayeedul Hassan have been chosen as coordinators for this tournament while Aijaz A. Khan and Naeemullah have been assigned the media duties.
