RIYADH, 21 May 2004 — Ara Bowlers made a return trip to the podium as Team of the Week and Ding Balagtas of Triple "R" won Bowler of the Week honors during the 15th session of the United Electronics Co. (EXTRA) Tuesday Night Bowling League 4th Conference here.
Unlike the previous week when they bagged honors unopposed Ara Bowlers this time got through via the count-back when they tied Top Gun on 24 points.
Ara Bowlers carded the better pinfalls of 3,343 in beating Triple "R" (20 points, 3,329 pinfalls), as against Top Gun's 3,177.
Balagtas' success in the individual battle, as he carded a hot series of 881 on lines of 209, 237, 190, 213 and 32 handicap, made Triple "R"'s defeat a little bearable.
RBC Patriots scored a decisive 23-14 win over ABV RG on total pinfalls of 3,235 and 3,102 as did Snap Shots 4 over Starstrucks 22-13 (3,135-3,051) and KIA's Pride over Blue Blood 22-14 (3,273-3,116).

Cas Encila was the top performer on the lanes, shooting the high series of 912 at the head of a fluent Ara attack that also contained 859 from Freddie Aquino, 823 from Rod Tagaban and 749 from Saud Egil.
Bowling pressure-free, Top Gun drew solid rounds from their quartet of Ernie Quiambao (818), Jett Cabana (786), Pido Villarosa (778) and Boy Bartolome (665).
The Patriots also used a four-man rotation that Tony Vicario led with 880. Sammy San Juan made 801, Mar Viloria 783 and Ely Fanugao 771.
