DAMMAM, 28 May 2004 — In the Al Huwais Trading-sponsored DCA 8-A-Side Knockout Tournament second round, Kanoo lost to Strikers CC, who after being asked to bat, totaled 92 for 6 in the allotted 7 overs. Naushad scored 20 and Imtiyaz 15. Nizam took 2 wickets.
In reply, Kanoo were restricted to 67 for 5 wickets. For Kanoo Ameer scored an unbeaten 24 and Ashraf scored 17. For Strikers Ikram took 3 wickets. Strikers won by 25 runs.
Bluestar CC prevail over Samuel Blues CC by 29 runs. Bluestar openers put up 98 runs (C. Hyder 40 & Ashraf 60)as they ended up with a commendable 105 for 1 in 7 overs.
Samuel Blues then managed 76 runs. Sunil scored 20 runs. For Bluestar Vincent captured 2 wickets.
KCC set Arabian Ace a target of 74 runs. They mustered up the total after losing 3 wickets. Abdul Qayyum 36 not out and Shihab 15 stood out. Arabian Ace gave chase but were held back to 70, losing by 4 runs.
Srilankan Sports Club defeated Crescent by 21 runs. SSC hit 100 in 7 overs, with Sunimal 22 and Ludmal 27 leading the way. For Crescent Biju took 3 wickets.
Crescent were then all out for 79 runs. Younus scored 30. Chaya captured 2 wickets for SSC.
In the first round matches, Kanoo won against SSC by 24 runs, Strikers defeated Zamil by 6 wickets, Bluestar triumphed over Mogul Stars, Asia XI lost to Samuel Blues, KCC beat Masters CC, Arabian Ace won against Serindib, SSC defeated Falcons and Crescent triumphed over Nawrella.
